Hi, I’m Cherry Jeffs

Maker of Artists’ Books & creative coach.

WELCOME TO MY STUDIO!

CURRENT BODY OF WORK

‘Heal the Earth’ is the second Artist’s Book in my current body of work whose theme is mending and healing.

In this series I explore the motif of hands as a restorative force which appears across cultures.

The ‘reader’ will lay her hands on the book. What could be transmitted through this act?
What could be received and healed?

Seated woman unfolds from inside artist's book: wears raining cloud hat, sews metallic blue thread onto map of parched world.
Circular front cover of artist's book: Clay hand over female figure releasing bird + sun and astro symbols, gold on turquoise.
Circular back cover of artist's book: Clay hand over female globe showing golden African continent on turquoise.

A LIFETIME OF CREATIVE PRACTICE

Graphite self-portrait in sketchbook by Cherry Jeffs from the 1980s, showing interior with curtains and lamp.

I have a degree in Theatre Design from Wimbledon School of Art and an entrepreneurial history as a graphic designer and jewellery designer-maker in the UK & Spain.

A nasty repetitive strain injury in my shoulder literally stopped me in my tracks. It was the push I needed to pursue the fine art career I’d always secretly longed for.

I now use my experience as a Creative Practice Coach to write books and courses that empower other creatives to realise the same kind of dreams.

In 2011 I made a piece of art every day for 365 days...

…and discovered the incredible power of regular creative practice!

But did you know there are 5 simple - but crucial - steps that will give you the best chance of establishing a sustainable habit?

Discover how with this little gift from me to you!
